Talent is a city in Jackson County, Oregon in the southern end of the Rogue River Valley, near the Siskiyou Mountains. The City of Talent is approximately 1.3 square miles with a diverse population of 6,525.

City & Government

The City of Talent has a Council-Manager form of government. The Talent Police Department provides 24-hour police patrols, and Jackson County Fire District 5 responds from three stations and the proud motto: "We Still Make House Calls!"


Talent Elementary School and Talent Middle School are part of the Phoenix-Talent School District. High school students attend Phoenix High School in Phoenix. Higher education is only minutes away at Rogue Community College and Southern Oregon University.
